Manage cookies
This section explains how users and business administrators can manage, restrict, or opt out of tracking technologies used on TrustRating.ai.
1. The TrustRating.ai Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit our platform, a cookie consent banner will appear at the bottom or center of your screen.
- Accept All: Clicking this allows us to deploy all tracking categories (Essential, Analytical, Functionality, and Marketing).
- Reject Non-Essential: Clicking this blocks analytical, functionality, and marketing tracking scripts from executing.
- Manage Preferences: Opens a granular control panel where you can toggle individual tracking categories on or off based on your personal privacy standards.
2. Managing Tracking via Your Web Browser
Most internet browsers are configured to automatically accept cookies. However, you can change your settings to notify you when a cookie is being set, limit the types allowed, or block them entirely.
To clear or disable storage paths manually, locate the privacy or settings menu in your respective web browser:
- Google Chrome:
Settings>Privacy and security>Third-party cookies - Apple Safari:
Settings>Safari>Advanced>Privacy & Website Data - Microsoft Edge:
Settings>Cookies and site permissions>Manage and delete cookies and site data - Mozilla Firefox:
Settings>Privacy & Security>Enhanced Tracking Protection
Note: Wiping your browser cache will clear existing configuration memory, meaning you will be prompted to re-confirm your preferences on your next visit to TrustRating.ai.
3. Global Opt-Out Mechanisms & Do Not Track (DNT)
Our platform is built to recognize global consumer privacy signals where technically feasible. If you deploy a universal opt-out signal via your browser or browser extension (such as the Global Privacy Control), our systems treat that signal as a valid directive to block non-essential targeting or analytical cookies automatically.
4. Operational Impacts of Disabling Cookies
While you are entirely free to reject or disable tracking metrics, please be aware that certain core features of our trust intelligence platform rely on these technologies to work safely:
- For Reviewers: Disabling essential session storage will prevent our system from keeping you securely logged in while navigating between directory pages, and may disrupt your ability to submit verification records.
- For Businesses: Disabling functionality scripts will prevent the merchant dashboard from remembering your layout preferences, custom analytics views, or half-completed review campaign configurations.
